New Delhi: Amidst the spurt in coronovirus cases, the government on Thursday said that India has not yet reached the community transmission phase of COVID-19 and claimed that local outbreaks have occurred in some geographical areas.
Centre’s claim came on a day when India recorded a record single-day jump of 24,879 COVID-19 cases, taking the caseloid to 7,67,296. The updated figures showed that the death toll rose to 21,129 with 487 new fatalities.
