KATHMANDU: A powerful landslide triggered by torrential rains ravaged the Sindhupalchowk district of central Nepal on Friday, killing at least 11 people and leaving 27 others missing, an official said.
Landslides hit Jugal Rural Municipality 130 km east of Sindhupalchowk district Kathmandu Friday morning.
The official said that five people were seriously injured, who were boarded by the Nepal Army in a helicopter and brought to the district headquarters, where they are undergoing treatment.
