KARACHI: The Sindh government on Friday issued a notification announcing that shopping malls in Karachi will now remain open on Saturdays and Sundays.
According to the notification, shopping malls will now be allowed to operate seven days a week, provided they strictly adhere to the government’s standard Corona virus operating system (SOPs). Geo TV Reported
The notification further said that if a shopping mall is located in a coronavirus hotspot within the city, then it will not be allowed to open as only essential businesses are allowed to operate in it.
As of January 21, 12 coronavirus-related deaths had been recorded in the province, bringing the total death toll to 3,855. When 6,380 tests were performed, some 716 new cases were diagnosed.
