After the Machh tragedy, the Balochistan government removed DC Kachhi, DPO

QUETTA: In the aftermath of the Machh massacre in which 10 coal miners belonging to the Hazara community were brutally killed, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan on Thursday called on Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kachhi and District Police Officer (DPO) ordered to be dismissed. Due to their negligence which brought this incident five days ago.

According to Geo TV, A notification has been issued in this regard. The Chief Minister has condemned the brutal killing and strongly condemned the negligence shown towards the protection of minorities.

Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has also directed the forces to ensure foolproof security throughout the province to prevent such untoward incidents in future also.

The Chief Secretary Balochistan has issued a notification ordering immediate removal of Deputy Commissioner Kachhi.

On Sunday, ten callers were killed and four others were injured when gunmen opened fire in Machh Quetta field in Bolan district of Balochistan.

According to police, the coal miners were taken to nearby mountains where they were shot.

Ten miners were abducted before dawn on Sunday while sleeping near a remote coal mine in the southwestern mountainous Machh area, 60km southeast of Quetta.

The militant group ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, according to SITE Intelligence, which monitors militant activity around the world.
