Ahmadi doctor shot dead in Nankana Sahib

A 31-year-old doctor was shot dead in front of his home on Friday in an attack linked to a religious movement.
The incident took place in Nankana Sahib, where members of a family belonging to a religious minority had gathered at his house for Friday prayers.
According to sources, an unidentified youth opened fire on the house of Ahmadi family where Dr Tahir Ahmed and his family were gathered for Friday prayers. Dr. Tahir could not survive the attack, while his father was seriously injured. Two other members of the family were also injured.
Reports indicate that this is the fifth targeted attack on members of the Ahmadiyya community in Pakistan in four months.
