Amazon has not banned Tikkok, mail sent to errant employees

Adventuress Has clarified that the company is not preventing its employees from using TIC Toc Their work phones or any device that has access to Amazon email. This comes hours after it came to headlines by an internal email that made it mandatory for Amazon employees to remove TickTalk from their devices by July 10.
In an official statement to new York Times, Amazon said, “This morning some emails were mistakenly sent to our employees. There has been no change in our policies regarding Tiktok yet.”
Earlier, Amazon employees received an email asking them to remove Tikok from their smartphones. Amazon did not provide any specific reasons for the move. The company cited the security risks of Tickcock on the phone for employees who use Amazon email on the same phone.
Here is the full text of the internal mail that Amazon sent to enforce the ban on TickTalk. This mail was sent by Amazon’s IT team.
Subject: Action Required: Mandatory removal of Tickcock by 10-July
Due to security risks, the TikTok app is not allowed on mobile devices that use Amazon email. If you have TicketLock on your device, you will need to remove it by 10-July to maintain mobile access to Amazon email. At this time, you are allowed to use TikTok from your Amazon laptop browser.

In response to this internal email by Amazon, Tickcock said in an official statement to Reuters, “While Amazon did not communicate with us before sending their email, and we still don’t understand their concerns, we welcome a conversation So that we can resolve any issue they may have and enable our team to participate in our community. ”
