New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh government on Monday released the notification for the AP State Eligibility Test 2020 on its official website.

The APSET 2020 for the year will be organized on December 6, 2020, according to UGC rules for the year 2020 for recruitment and promotion of lecturers / assistant professors in universities and degree colleges.

Interested and eligible candidates, who want to apply for APSET-2020, can submit their application through online mode on the official website https://apset.net.in/.

Candidates will have to pay the registration fee 1200 / – (for general and EWS categories), 1000 / – (for BC category) and Rs 700 / – (for SC / ST / PWD / transgender categories). Registration fees can be paid online using credit card / debit card / net banking.

Candidates who have obtained at least 55% marks in Master’s degree or equivalent examination from Universities / Institutions recognized by UGC are eligible for this examination. Backward Class (BC) / Scheduled Castes (SC) / Scheduled Tribes (ST) / Transgender / Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category candidates should get at least 50% marks.

Those candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course or those candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and the result of which is still awaited or the candidates whose qualification examination has been delayed Can also apply.

There is no upper age limit to apply for eligibility for the test. Candidates who have previously qualified in APSET / UGC NET are not eligible to apply in the same subject for which they were eligible.

Question Paper – I which is common for all the candidates appearing in APSET will be bilingual (English and Telugu). While Paper – II for the following subjects will be A) Commerce B) Economics C) Education D) History E) Political Science F) Public Administration and G) Sociology will be bilingual (English and Telugu). All remaining papers are in English except Hindi, Sanskrit, Telugu and Urdu only.

Paper-I will be of general nature, with the objective of assessing the teaching / research aptitude of the candidate. The paper will have 50 objective type questions. Each question will carry 2 marks.

Paper-II will have 100 objective type questions based on the subject chosen by the candidate. Each question will carry 2 marks.

Candidates should note that there is no negative marking.
