Arsenal midfielder Thomas Parte missed the next few matches after being injured in his defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, manager Mikel Arteta said.
Partney was ruled out for about a month due to a thigh injury and returned to the lineup against the Spurs, but later had to take off.
Arteta said it was not a recurrence of the earlier injury and the Ghanaian midfielder was not sent back prematurely to face the Spurs.
“He was injured in the same area. Not exactly the same, but the same as before. Arteta told reporters ahead of the Europa League match against Dandalak on Thursday.
“We did her (scan) MRI. There was an injury and he would miss the next few matches.
“He did incredibly well in training before Tottenham and he was very confident. We tested him three times and had zero symptoms, but in football you have a lot of unexpected tasks. “
Arsenal, 15th in the Premier League, will play seven more matches in three competitions this month.
