Age limit for Forester-I and Stenographer Grade III
Applicants must not be over 38 years of age and under 21 years of age by January 1, 2020 (candidates must be born on or before 01-01-1999 or after 01-01-1982).
Age limit for Forest Guard, Surveyor, Mahut, Carpenter and Driver
Applicants must not be below 38 years of age and below 18 years of age by January 1, 2020 (candidates must be born on or before 01-01-2002 or on or before 01-01-1982).
Upper age limit has been relaxed:
- Five years in the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (H) and ST (P).
- Three years in case of candidates belonging to OBC / MOBC.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any examination declared equivalent by the government.
Candidate should be a graduate in any stream from a college / institute affiliated to a university recognized by ITI in Assam with a National Trade Certificate in Stenography or any other institution recognized by the government. Of India with 80 WPM in English stenography of Assam Government
Candidates should have passed Higher Secondary (10 + 2) or equivalent examination from a recognized Board / Council.
Candidates should have passed HSLC or equivalent examination and a certificate in draftsmanship from a recognized institute.
Applicants must have completed Class VIII or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 (three) years experience in elephant supervision.
Candidates should have passed HLSC or equivalent examination and should have a trade certificate from a recognized institute.
Candidates should have passed HSLC or equivalent examination and should have a valid four wheel driving license issued by the competent authority Assam.
