Detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crimes Squad have arrested four people following an investigation into the alleged abduction of another man off Sydney’s lower north coast last month.

At around 8 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, a 50-year-old man allegedly confronted a 46-year-old man near the intersection of Cremorian’s Paragon and Win Streets.

Shortly afterwards, the couple was approached by two other men. [allegedly] Forcing a big man into a car.

He was then taken to a property in Burnley, where an unidentified man allegedly attacked the 50-year-old man and threatened him with firearms.

About an hour later, the man was run over in the Belmore area and released.

The incident was reported to North Shore Police Area Command officers on Wednesday, April 20, 2021.

After extensive investigation [police] Four people, aged 27, 29, 42 and 46, were arrested from 6 a.m. today.

The men were taken to local police stations where charges are expected.

Officers are currently in the process of issuing search warrants to homes in Sutherland, Carringbah, Brighton Le Sands, Banksia and Markwell.

The investigation is ongoing.
