India and Australia will first play against each other in ODIs and T20Is and then both sides will focus on the longest format of the game. This Friday, the ODI series gets underway.
Captain Virat Kohli will play just one Test against Australia, and then return home after a paternity leave by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
During the 2018–19 series, India managed to register their first Test series victory on Australian soil. The Kohli-led team won the series 2–1 and would now like to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
The first Test between India and Australia will start at Adelaide Oval on 17 December and the match will be a day-night competition.
