BHU Kovid arranges for positive students

VARANASI: Keeping in mind the rapid proliferation of Kovid cases, the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) administration has taken specific safeguards for the management of Kovid-19 positive cases in hostels with immediate effect.

According to a BHU spokesperson, a notification has been issued in this regard, under which each hostel will identify and dedicate some rooms in the rooms around the washrooms for students who test positive.

This place will be isolated. Any student developing symptoms of Kovid-19 should undergo a test and isolate themselves in the room.

If a student’s test is positive, he should immediately notify the warden who will place the student in the isolation room in the hostel and will also inform the CMO.

If the position requires hospitalization, the student will be sent to the super-specialty block for admission.

In other cases, the doctor will prescribe the medicine and supply it to the health center.

The hostel administration will collect the medicine and send it to the student concerned. The warden will also inform the parents after the student has tested positive.

Supply of food and essential items will be made available by the hostel administration taking all precautions.

Safety gear such as PPE kit, mask, cap and face-shield will be provided by the hostel administration. The hostel administration will also purchase oximeters and thermal scanners for monitoring and hypo chloride solutions for sanitizing.
