Bombay HC registers FIR against woman husband on Kovid-19 duty – India news

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday dismissed an FIR filed by a woman against her doctor husband, as she told the court that the move was due to prolonged stress of Kovid-19 duty.

The woman, a professor of microbiology, informed a bench of Justices SS Shinde and MS Karnik that they had been married for 20 years and that the stress of work in the early days of the Kovid-19 epidemic affected their marital life. He said the FIR was filed under charges including domestic violence in March, when the couple were working 18 hours, she said.

Although the court wanted to interview the husband, the woman, a resident of Pune, said that her husband was on duty at a government hospital.

“In March and April, when the work related to coronovirus increased in hospitals, there was a lot of tension. We were working for 18 hours every day and this created a lot of misunderstandings, ”the woman informed the court.

However, after counseling, the couple had decided to live together with the two children, they told the bench during a virtual hearing. Citing the FIR, the bench said that it was very happy that the couple decided to settle their differences and live together.

The court also said that there is a “high regard” for doctors working day and night across the country at the cost of their personal and family lives.

“We have tremendous respect for the doctors and the work done by them at such a time,” the bench said.

The court decided to cancel the case, even with a lawyer intervening. To this, the court said that it has heard its client in the serial and does not want to hear the case further.

“You have not heard, Job mian biwi razi …”, the bench said in a mild vein to the lawyer.
