Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, president of the Springley Educational Society, said on Wednesday that the suggestions given by the CBSE for the formation of the Result Committee (RC) were risky due to the prevalent coronovirus epidemic. The lockdown was implemented, so it was not an easy process to build an RC. In addition, Sahil said that there may be other operational issues such as schools need to be physically open and would also require their staff and IT teams to provide the documents required by the CBSE. “Instead CBSE should allow schools to form hundred percent virtual committees which is the need of the hour”
In recent times, CBSE had released the objective criteria, the process for preparing CBSE Class X result, the result of which will be announced on June 20. For this purpose, schools are directed to constitute RCs. Seven teachers, including two teachers from the neighboring school as external members of the RC, will serve as the 8th members of the RC overseeing the RC overall process.

Echo with Sahil, Vijay Mehra, Chairperson, The Senior Study said that the formation of virtual committees would be a better option than postponing the results. “Results need to be finalized and announced as soon as possible so that the best way to safely conduct the entire process is virtual,” he said. He said that all the teachers were aware of the process and there was nothing special to discuss physically except the signature, but it could also be changed by digital signature.
To add, Sahil said that many teachers across the nation had already been tested Kovid positive and that the process of formation of RC and physical meetings would be a shock to the learning community. The National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA) had already conveyed its concerns to the Chairman, CBSE.
