New Delhi: Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said on Monday that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the remaining 10th and 12th examinations at more than 15,000 centers across the country.

This decision has been taken to maintain social distance in schools during the examination to prevent the spread of coronovirus.

Pokhriyal said, “CBSE has given students the opportunity to take exams in their schools. CBSE allows the remaining exams for 10th and 12th classes to be conducted at 15,000 centers across India. Earlier, the Union Minister had announced that the remaining examinations of the 10th and 12th CBSE classes would not be held at the external examination centers but at student related schools.

On March 25, the CBSE exams for class 10th and 12th were postponed due to nationwide lockout while class 10 exams were postponed due to violence in northeast Delhi.

A CBSE official also spoke on this and said that “schools have been asked to follow the guidelines to prevent the spread of coronovirus and it will also ensure social distance between students during the examination”.
