Chinese Artificial Intelligence Company files a $ 1.4 billion lawsuit against Apple

Shanghai: Chinese artificial intelligence The company Shanghai Xizen Intelligent Network Technology Co. Ltd., also known as Xiao-i, has filed a lawsuit against Apple Inc. alleging that it has infringed its patent.
The company is invoking 10 billion yuan ($ 1.43 billion) in damages and demands that the patent promise to manufacture, use, sell, sell and import patented infringing products.
Xiao-I argued that Apple’s voice-recognition technology Siri infringes on a patent it applied for in 2004 and granted in 2009.
Apple did not provide the expected response to the comment. Reuters was not immediately available to find a copy of the court filing.
The lawsuit marks the continuation of a line that has been running for almost a decade.
Shanghai Xiezhen first sued Apple for patent infringement in 2012 regarding its voice recognition technology. In July, the Supreme People’s Court of China ruled that the patent was valid.
