New Delhi: Congress on Thursday demanded that a session of Parliament be convened to discuss key issues such as the Kovid-19 situation, the India-China deadlock on the border and the state of the economy in the country.
Senior Congress spokesman Ajay Maken said that a way should be found soon to convene the session of Parliament.
He said that various Congress leaders have asked for the Parliament session to be held soon and the government should act accordingly.
He told reporters at a press conference, “There are a lot of issues concerning the country and a way to convene a parliament session should be found.”
Maken said that it is not just the Chinese transfer which is a big issue, the coronovirus epidemic and the economic situation in the country should also be discussed in Parliament.
“There are very important things. There should be a way to convene the Parliament – there should be a virtual session or different ways – the government should look at different ways and means of convening the session,” the Congress leader said.
The party is demanding early convening of the Parliament session to discuss important issues.
The monsoon session of Parliament is nearing, and sources suggest that a meeting may be called by the end of this month or early next month.
