On Friday, the federation said Croatia midfielder Marcelo Brozovic had been separated from the national team after testing positive for the coronovirus ahead of the two-nation league games against Sweden and Portugal. Brozovic’s positive test came after captain Domgoz Vida, who was removed at halftime during a friendly against Turkey on Wednesday after the team was notified as he returned a positive COVID-19 result.

The federation said that it had informed Brozovic’s club, Inter Milan, as well as Sweden. Croatia are third in the Nations League Group 3 on three points from four games, trailing seven leaders Portugal and France.
