ISLAMABAD: The ruling PTI candidate from NA-75 constituency of Sialkot has been asked by Prime Minister Imran Khan to apply for re-polling in the Daska by-election as opposition parties have “cried over it” Voices.
Just last week, Daska’s Felso made headlines, with clashes between ruling PTI and PML-N activists killing at least two people and injuring two others, leading to a shootout. Initially, three people were injured.
Two of them succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital.
On Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Twitter that he had “always fought for free and fair elections” and that there was no legal obligation for the ECP to do so before announcing the results. “
“It’s because we want transparency that we want an open referendum for the Senate election.
The Prime Minister vowed to “always strive to strengthen a fair and free electoral process” and expressed his condolences to those who obstructed the effort.
Prime Minister Imran Khan added, “Unfortunately, others lack this commitment. When we wanted four constituencies to open after the 2013 elections, it took us two years.”
Last week, polling was suspended at 15 of the 360 sensitive polling stations in the constituency as violence erupted.
