The Union Ministry of Labor and Employment said on Saturday that the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has extended the deadline for pensioners to submit their life certificates to February 28, 2021, keeping in mind the coronavirus epidemic.
“In view of the vulnerability of the elderly population due to the ongoing Kovid-19 pandemic and virus, EPFO has extended the deadline for submission of life certificate (Jeevan Prerna Patra-JPP) to 28 February 2021 in respect of pensioners receiving pension. 1995 and whose life proof is in any month till 28 February 2021, ”the ministry said in a press release.
A pensioner can submit a life certificate at any time during the year up to 30 November, which is valid for a period of one year from the date of issue, the release mentions that all such pensioners should submit the certificate by 28 February next year Can present.
