Delhi government introduced virtual model of education; CM said ‘Dream Project’

New Delhi: Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday announced a plan to introduce the government’s “virtual model of education”.

This initiative is the result of education in the wake of the Kovid-19 epidemic last year.

Sisodia, who presented the budget for the year, said the “unique experiment” would make education accessible to students in any part of the country or even the world.

“The Delhi government has decided to start a new category of schools in Delhi, the Virtual Delhi Model School, ie a school, which will not have four walls or a building, but there will be children, teachers, teaching, examination and assessment, and The study will be completed.

“It will be a unique experiment in itself, and possibly the first virtual school in the world. Work has started on the design of this school and it will be my endeavor to ensure that this school is ready and can work till the next session.

Based on the principle of “living anywhere, learning anytime, testing anytime”, the minister said, virtual schools will help students living in any part of the country learn under Delhi’s education model.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called it a “dream project”.

“We want to build the world’s first virtual Delhi model school. It is a dream project presented in this budget, a classroom without walls.”

Talking further about the project, Sisodia said that the epidemic has taught us to make the best use of the right technology under crisis, especially in the field of education.

“The launch of virtual model of education is the result of online education in the last year in view of COVID-19 epidemic.

“Our teachers made online teaching a reality without any prior training. We have to take lessons forward … We are witness to the extent to which education is possible with the help of technology, ”he said.
