Demand for air travel is higher than ever in Australia, says Jetstar – Travel

Qantas Airways Ltd. K low-cost carrier Jetstar said it would operate a record number of flights to Australia early next year, which is at a higher level than pre-epidemic levels.

With fewer than 50 active Kovid-19 cases, Australia is experiencing an upsurge in domestic leisure as ease of internal travel restrictions. The scale of recovery suggests air passenger traffic, which has been erased globally by the crisis, can quickly recover if the risk of infection is reduced.

Jetstar said it plans an unprecedented 850 return flights a week on 55 routes by the end of March, more than 110% of its schedule ahead of the Kovid-19. Airbus SE A320 aircraft typically fly to Bali, Singapore and other foreign destinations will operate additional services.

Jetstar has been seeking flights since mid-January with sales of 300,000 seats, some of them as cheap as A $ 29 ($ 22). Around 90% of Australians planned to travel home in 2021, citing their own survey.
