Donald Trump says he ‘made the right choice with Amy’

Washington: President Donald Trump says he has no objection to running against former Vice President Joe Biden, but does not want to run against his Supreme Court nominee Amy Connie Barrett. Speaking to supporters in Iowa on Wednesday, Trump received some of his biggest cheers when he held his confirmation hearing before the Senate Judicial Committee.
He jokingly said, “Please promise me, Amy, you’ll never walk.” Trump calls Barrett a “great intelligence” who cleverly handles that question, especially meeting Democrats, and “she handles it like nothing.”
Trump says he did not speak with Barrett for a few days, “and I just want to say that we made the right choice with Amy.” If Barrett is confirmed, which is expected, she will replace liberal Justice Ruth Beder Zinsburg, who died last month.
