The Government of Jharkhand issued guidelines for the observance of Durga Puja and Dussehra in view of Kovid-19.
As per the guidelines, at any point of time, there shall not be more than seven persons including organizers, priests and support staff present in the Durga Puja pandal / mandap.
“Pooja can be performed in specially constructed small pandals / mandals where it has traditionally been performed, only with the purposeful performance of rituals without public participation. Durga Puja and Mandap will be covered from all around to prevent any public view of the idols. The puja pandal / mandal will not be constructed on any subject.
The government said that there will be no worship by illuminating and prohibiting the place where the idol is placed, the rest of the puja pandal / mandap will be open in the air.
As per the guidelines, no fair / mela will be held and no food stalls will be opened in and around the Durga Puja pandal / mandap.
“There will be no music or any other entertainment / cultural event. No community banquet / prasad or bhog distribution ceremony will be held. No invitation in any form will be issued by the organizers of worship committees.
The government said that the idols would be immersed at places approved by the district administration.
