London: Veteran England fast bowler James Anderson, who has resumed training, is returning to the cricket field.

On Monday, Anderson posted a video of himself on Instagram, in which he can be seen driving the ball at Old Trafford and then carrying it inside.

“I’ve missed the place! Coming slowly through the gears but enjoying being back,” Anderson wrote as the caption.

The England players resumed their training last week as plans for a return to international cricket in the country have been suspended since mid-March following a coronovirus outbreak.

England was on its tour of Sri Lanka when the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus was grinding all cricket activities. All professional cricket activities are currently suspended until 1 July and the England team moves on to the next slate to play the West Indies and then Pakistan.

Anderson recently said that his teammates have to inspire each other when cricket starts, and in all likelihood, in front of an empty stand.

“We’re fortunate (in England) that most Test matches have sold out, certainly the first few days, we get huge crowds,” Anderson told CNN Sport’s Amanda Davis via Instagram Live.

“You just walk out in front of a stuffed house and it’s easy enough to get up for a game. I think we might have to bend over each other as players if there’s no rush, no atmosphere. Hai, we hear the sound of leather willows echoing around the ground instead of applause, “he said.

In the post-COVID era, cricket will see many changes, one of which will ban the use of saliva to shine the ball as recommended by the ICC Cricket Committee.

“It’s a big deal for me because in order to swing the ball, you need to shine the ball and improve it when it scuffles,” Anderson said, adding that England’s dominant wicket in Test cricket The player is the taker and one – International Day.
