The European Union (EU) is providing 10 10 million to significantly promote UNHCR assistance to Afghan refugees and their host communities in Pakistan as the Fund Coveed, 24 News News TV reported. The focus will be on reducing the short- and medium-term effects of 19 epidemics.

With this funding, UNHCR will increase its health response as well as improve water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) facilities in refugee and host communities.

Another key component of the new plan will be implementing activities that help protect and empower vulnerable Afghan refugees and host communities, including employment opportunities.

The three-year plan will be rolled out across the country and will benefit some 370,000 Afghan refugees and the Pakistani host community.

The agreement was signed at a ceremony by H. Androla Kaminhara, Ambassador of the EU Delegation to Pakistan, and Noriko Yoshida, UNHCR Representative in Pakistan.

The agreement is similar to the Chaudhry Afghanistan Conference in Geneva, which aims to present an important opportunity for the Afghan government and the international community to pursue common goals to promote sustainable development, prosperity and peace in Afghanistan.

At the signing ceremony, Ms. Kaminhara said: “As the world faces the second addition to Code 19, it is clearer than ever that we need to help the most vulnerable and needy. Help him in partnership with the HCR. The Afghan refugee community, which is a generous host in Pakistan, as well as the Pakistani host community. “
