Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), has said that he will not overthrow the government with the help of any institution.
Addressing the media in Bakar on Friday, the JUI-F chief said that the government was completely failing to provide, adding that the government was encroaching on the rights of the common man.
Fazal said that all options are open for campaigning against the government. He said that PDM was going back to the people. He said that he was going to hold power shows in Swat and Karachi on July 4 and 29, respectively. He said that people from all walks of life are worried about the current situation in the country.
He said that the present rulers were incompetent and could not withstand the pressure of foreign powers. He said that the Establishment was dismantling the national institutions, adding that the organizations of religious madrassas were being destroyed while new organizations were being given more privileges.
He said he would take the matter seriously. He said that he was going to hold a convention of madrassas in Lahore on June 20.
The PDM chief said that when the Establishment came within its limits, the government would decline. He said he wanted the establishment to be neutral, which was not the case then. He said that the policies of Pervez Musharraf were still in force and reference was being made to the 2001 agreement. He said that he would not allow this country to become a colony of America in any way.
