FM Qureshi, Chinese Ambassador Planted Friendship Trees

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong planted a tree of friendship at the Foreign Ministry on Thursday, marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Pak-China diplomatic relations, HDTV reported on November 24. Is part of the ongoing celebrations.

The Ambassador also presented a diplomatic note to the Foreign Minister regarding the donation of 7,000 plants in support of the “Clean Green Pakistan Movement” and the “Ten Billion Trees Tsunami Program”.

On this occasion, the Foreign Minister highlighted that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

He praised the Chinese leadership and the CPC for lifting 800 million people out of extreme poverty in a short span of 40 years and advancing the Chinese nation’s peace and development efforts.

He said that the year 2021 also marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China.

The Minister said that with the relentless efforts of generations of people and leadership, this relationship has been transformed into an ‘All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership’.

Extensive events are being held in Pakistan and China to mark the 70th anniversary of the history of diplomatic relations. Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and senior Foreign Ministry officials and diplomats from the Chinese embassy attended the ceremony.
