Former Bayern doctor says he quit because Guardiola ‘knew better’ football news

Berlin: German Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wolfhart Said he left as Bayern Munich Between a spat with team doctor in 2015 Pep Guardiola Because Spaniard “knew better”.
“I couldn’t keep up with the fact that a young coach (Guardiola) – who was very successful and who is probably one of the very big names – interfered in medical matters and I knew everything was better,” Müller-Wolfhart told broadcaster BR24.
The 77-year-old German has a reputation as one of the world’s top sports doctors, whose list of superstar clients included retired runner Usain Bolt.
Bolt dedicated his 2016 Olympic gold medal after the men’s 100-meter final, helping him overcome a calf injury.
Muller-Wohlfurt began working with Bayern in 1977, but abruptly resigned five years ago.
At the time, he said it was because Bayern coach Guardiola blamed the club’s medical department for the Champions League defeat at Porto.
Muller-Wohlfurt returned to Bayern only in 2017, when Guardiola left to join current side Manchester City, and stepped down as club doctor again last month.
However, he referred to his time at Bayern under Gardenola as a “black spot”.
Muller-Wolfhart says that the pair have since buried Hatchet.
He said, “We have met so far and talked over things. It is over now.”
Guardiola Wins Bundesliga Won the title in each of his three seasons at Bayern from 2013–16 and have since lifted the Premier League trophy twice with Man City.
Along with Bayern, Muller-Wolfhart worked with the German national team from 1995 until after the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
