Government on Monday before the TLP rally in Islamabad

The Islamabad district administration is taking all possible steps to prevent Tehreek-e-Lubaik Pakistan (TLP) workers from entering the federal capital for a rally in Liaquat Bagh on Sunday (November 1st).

According to the measures, Murree Road will be blocked using containers and will be fully sealed for all types of traffic from midnight on Saturday to 9 am on Sunday. Murree Road from Marir to Faizabad will remain closed. All roads leading to Faizabad were also blocked using containers on Saturday night. Authorities also blocked the road from Serena Chowk to the Red Zone to keep TLP supporters away from the federal capital.

Similarly, authorities have announced that cell phone services in Rawalpindi and its suburbs will be suspended from 4:00 am to 9:00 am on Sunday.
