New Delhi: The Gujarat government on Thursday decided to give mass promotion to all Class 10 students in view of the increase in Kovid-19 cases. The decision has been taken in the core committee meeting organized by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said, “Keeping in mind the current state of Kovid-19, the government has decided to give mass promotion to regular students in class 10 of the current academic year.”

This year, more than 12 lakh students have registered for the Gujarat SSC exam.

“The Gujarat government, under the guidance of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, takes an important decision to give mass promotion to all regular students of Class-10 (SSC) this year due to the current status of COVID-19 in the state,” the CM office said on Thursday Tweeted

Gujarat’s class 10 and 12 examinations were scheduled to start from May 10 to 25. However, the government has now discontinued the Class 10 examination, while the status of Class 12 examinations is postponed. To be declared afresh for class 12 examination.
