AHMEDABAD: Gujarat Technological University (GTU) on Wednesday issued guidelines for the examination summer exam 2020 ‘starting from 25 June.

Terminal exams will be conducted for diplomas and undergraduates in their final semester as well as second and fourth semester postgraduate candidates.

More than 1.2 lakh students, including Diploma Engineering, Diploma Pharmacy, Degree Engineering, Degree Pharmacy, Architecture, MBA, MCA, ME and M Pharm, are expected to take the exam, whose detailed schedule will soon be displayed on the official website. Of diversity.

There are over 550 colleges affiliated to GTU and more than 5.5 lakh students are enrolled in them.

The state’s biggest diversity decision is on the heels of the Gujarat government’s recent notification about college-level exams starting on June 25. The duration of the examination will be two hours.

GTU Vice-Chancellor, Naveen Sheth said, “We have announced exam start dates for various courses.”

As per the guidelines only the revised paper style applicable for the Summer- 2020 examination will be displayed on the GTU website. For intermediate semesters in undergraduate, diploma courses, merit-based progress will be implemented as suggested in the recent notification of the state government.

Colleges and editions were closed in Gujarat due to the Kovid-19 epidemic and nationwide lockout. As a result, most of the college level examinations could not be conducted.

The examination will be conducted as per the state government guidelines which include wearing of masks, social disturbances and proper hygiene measures. There will be a maximum of 15 candidates in each examination hall, sources said. Persons not wearing masks should not be allowed to enter inside the examination center.

External theory test will be conducted for all regular / remedial semesters of PG courses.

If the practical examination is already conducted by the institutes, the marks obtained by the students will be presented by the institute to the university. Sources said Ellis would follow merit-based progress. Sources said that Viva’s exams will be conducted through online video conferencing by the institute’s endorsed faculty.
