CHENNAI: Indian Ace Cricketer Harbhajan Singh Has filed a complaint against a businessman with the Chennai city police for cheating 4 crores.
This issue arose after going to the merchant Madras High Court Advance bail is being sought in the case.
In his complaint, Harbhajan mentioned that he had introduced businessman Ji Mahesh through a common friend living on Juhu Beach Road in Uthandi, Chennai. Harbhajan paid the amount in 2015 as a loan.
Whenever Singh tried to reach him, Mahesh delayed and kept refusing to return the money.
On August 18, a check of Rs 25 lakh issued by Mahesh bounced due to insufficient funds.
Harbhajan, who is a member of Chennai Super Kings (Chennai Super Kings) The team was recently in Chennai, contacted the city police commissioner and lodged a formal complaint against Mahesh and some others.
Petition has been forwarded Nilankarai Assistant Commissioner of Police Visvesvaraya for detailed inquiry. The ACP called Mahesh to appear before him for questioning.
Mahesh filed anticipatory bail through his lawyer K Surendra and Chenthuri Pugazhendhi, which is now pending before the Madras High Court.
In his affidavit, Mahesh stated that he had obtained a loan from Harbhajan Singh after issuing an immovable property in Thalambur as security. Later, in 2015 a general power of attorney deed was also executed in favor of Harbhajan Singh. It was registered at Thirupur Sub-Registrar Office, Document Number 3635/2015.
Mahesh said that he had paid all pending dues to Harbhajan.
