New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Thursday directed the University of Delhi to file an affidavit detailing the schedule of final year undergraduate examinations, which has been postponed from July 10 to August 15. The High Court has also asked to explain in the affidavit how it proposes to conduct the examinations – online, off-line or both modes, in addition to the full date sheet, providing clarity to the students.

A bench of Justices Hema Kohli and Subramaniam Prasad said, “We have all gone through the examination process, which is negligible for students, especially at the time of COVID-19 epidemic.”

The court briefly approved the prayer of senior advocate Sachin Dutta representing Delhi University as he had to prepare a new plan to conduct the examination as per the latest guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

The court ordered the affidavit to be filed by 13 July and listed the case for further hearing on 14 July.
