This is the time of year when the rumor mill becomes more about the next iPhone. While it is still unclear whether Apple Will launch its flagship Iphone In September this year or not, but it has not stopped leaks and rumors to surface regularly. The latest rumor that is circling is about not giving Charger with Apple iphone 12.
According to a 9to5Mac report, Apple is surveying iPhone users about what they do with their charger when they buy a new iPhone. The report cites an email received by a user where Apple asked a series of questions. “The survey includes a series of checkboxes with many possibilities for how consumers use their iPhone chargers,” the report states.
Checkboxes include: “I sold or traded it with my iPhone; I lost it; I gave it to a family member or friend; I still use it at home; I still use it outside (at work, school or other places); I still have it, but I don’t use it. “This idea can be gauged from what people do with their old chargers when buying a new iPhone.”
The survey for that matter – or any other iPhone 12 rumor – should be taken with a pinch of salt. For the uninitiated, Apple did a similar survey about the headphone jack for the MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro still comes with a headphone jack, even though Apple removed it from the iPhone. So it is not certain that the survey regarding the charger means that Apple will stop shipping it.
The charger’s rumor started after reliable Apple analyst Ming Chi-ku, who mentioned it in a research note. Kuo stated that the iPhone 12 has not won the ship with the charger nor will it have EarPods, wired headphones that are bundled in the box.
Another charger-related round is doing that Apple may ship a 20W charger with the iPhone 12. So as we said these are all just rumors at the moment but it will be interesting to see if Apple actually dips the charger with the iPhone 12.
