new Delhi: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is planning to conduct the final examination from the second week of September. About three Lakh students Exams from across India are expected to write examinations that will be conducted in three formats – pen-paper, online and Multiple choice objective. However, if a student is unable to take the exam, he or she will get another opportunity in December with the first and second year students.
Ignou officials said that the majority of students have submitted their assignments online and even MPhil and PhD research has been submitted online.
Eight lakh students are enrolled in various programs of University whose three lakh rupees Final year students. There are close to 40,000 students in Delhi, close to one lakh from rural areas. The exam will be conducted in several modes this year. “The majority of papers will be in pen-paper mode. However, some selected certificate courses will be given online and some in objective format. So we will have a mixed experience, ”said Rao.
Regarding social distinction norms and security protocols, Rao said that IGNOU has 900 centers for eight lakh students.
