The Federal Ministry of Finance has said that the International Monetary Fund mission is expected to visit Pakistan in August, 24 News HD TV channel reported on Sunday.
Reacting to PML-N leader Muftah Ismail, the ministry said the IMF program had not been suspended. The IMF mission will review the economic performance of the current financial year, the ministry said in a statement. It further said that Pakistan had achieved all the targets as per the IMF premium by March 2021.
The statement said that Pakistan’s economic performance has been excellent. It said that the World Bank had approved the loan for Pakistan yesterday. The ministry said that the PML-N’s finance ministry had destroyed Pakistan’s economy, adding that the PML-N was genuinely responsible for the IMF’s loan program.
