India gives disaster relief material to Nepal. India news

KATHMANDU: India on Sunday handed over a consignment of disaster relief material to Nepal for flood and landslide affected families, officials said.
On behalf of the Government of India, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of India handed over the material to Namgya C. Khampa, Chairman of Nepal-India Women’s Friendship Society, Chanda Chaudhary here.
Relief materials include tents and plastic sheets for distribution to flood and landslide-affected families in five districts of the country, the Indian Mission said in a statement.
In view of the recent destruction and loss of lives due to floods and landslides, the entire consignment will be distributed through coordination with local governments in the affected districts of Sindhupalchok, Kailali, Mahotari, Navalparasi and Sarlahi in Province 2, Bagmati. Provinces, Provinces 5 and Far Pasim Provinces.
It was part of the Government of India’s regular humanitarian aid and disaster relief assistance to Nepal.
