Sachin Tendulkar has been admitted to hospital with corona virus. The 47-year-old, India’s highest-scoring scorer in Test cricket, revealed last weekend that he had taken a positive test for the Coveted 19 and was controlling the house with only minor symptoms.
However, in a post on his official Twitter account on Friday, he confirmed that he had been recognized as a precaution but hoped that he would be fired “in a few days”.
Tendulkar’s tweet said: “Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalized. I hope to return home in a few days. Take care of everyone and stay safe. “
He came to an end by sending his best wishes to his fellow members of India’s 2011 World Cup winning squad on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the victory over Sri Lanka.
Tendulkar scored a record 15,921 Test runs for India during his 24-year international career and is considered one of the most complete batsmen in the game.
