According to the market, India’s largest airline – IndiGo has started operating 1,000 flights to 65 destinations including 59 domestic and 6 international destinations (commercial as well as air bubbles) from Tuesday.
The airline operated more than 1,500 daily flights in the pre-Kovid-19 period.
The spokesperson said the airline is operating these flights by following all precautionary measures, ensuring a safe and hassle-free travel experience, which runs on a lean, clean flying machine.
IndiGo Chief Executive Officer, Ronjoy Dutta said, “From zero domestic and international operations to now operating 1,000 scheduled commercial flights per day, we have really come a long way since we resumed operations. Our tireless efforts to provide a safe and clean experience and awareness campaign are flourishing, as seen by the ever-increasing demand for air travel. We are currently operating at around 70% of our pre-Kovid capacity and we expect growth to continue until 2021. ”
IndiGo operated 100,000 flights between May 25 and November 11, 2020, including all domestic and international flights. Currently the airline operates around 130 scheduled flights from three metro cities – Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
The airline also operates passenger and cargo charter flights in domestic and international areas.
