It has been a season of struggle for Delhi Capitals opener Prithvi Shaw. Shaw played some good matches at the start of the tournament, but as the IPL 2020 progressed, he looked fairly normal and struggled to score runs on the board. Shaw was replaced by Ajinkya Rahane due to his poor form, but Rahane also gave out of touch and Shaw returned to play for DC against Mumbai Indians on Saturday.
Shaw had no change in his form and destiny, as he dismissed wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock in Trent Boult’s over and was dismissed for just 10 runs off 11 balls. (IPL 2020 full coverage)

DC could only manage a total of 110 // 9 runs in 20 overs, easily won by defending champions Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets in 14.2 overs. After the match, former India cricketer commentator Sanjay Manjrekar gave Shaw an advice.
“Dear Prithvi Shaw, try and don’t do impossible shots, because they are impossible to pull. Put Virender Sehwag as your role model, see how he only stopped for shots that he had the ability / confidence to pull, ”Manjrekar wrote on Twitter.
With MI’s defeat, DC slipped to the bottom of the table, finishing 5th in the table with 12 points from 13 matches. The Shreyas Iyer-led franchise will descend on Virat Kohli’s hopes of making it to the playoffs against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday.
