Hope the president Sourav Ganguly, Secretary Jai Shah, both of whose “cooling off exemption” cases are in the Supreme Court, will attend the meeting along with Treasurer Arun Dhumal and Joint Secretary Jayesh George as permanent invitees.

Vivo is the title sponsor while there are Chinese investments in Paytm, Dream 11, BYJU and Swiggy. The matter will remain under discussion due to the current tension between India and China. 5) Standard Operating Procedure
The SOP is a document of about 240 pages that has been prepared and will be shared with the franchise. This includes all health safety measures, including the number of COVID tests and how the bio-bubble will be created.
Instructions will be on squad strength (likely to shadow 40, including players, support staff and management team).
While BCCI’s SOP can be upgraded by franchisees, they cannot downgrade it in any way.
It is learned that the BCCI will let the franchisees decide whether they will allow families (wives, partners, children) to travel with the players.
“BCCI will only negotiate with the hotels and try to provide them with discounted rates but it is the franchise which is required to make a bubble as per SOP.”
6) IPL GC members will get to travel
Generally, members of the IPL Governing Council travel to various venues – whether in India or abroad during the tournament but there will be a discussion on whether health safety is paramount at these times, allowing members to travel to watch matches. Whether to be allowed or not.
