According to 24 News News TV channel, PML-N leader Mian Javed Latif was released from Kot Lakhpat Jail on Thursday.
Talking to media on the occasion, Latif said that it was surprising that he was called a ‘traitor’.
But he added that as long as the forest law is in place in the country, he cannot say ‘Pakistan is divided’. As long as medicine was out of reach of the common man, and where some people consider Pakistan as their property. He commented, “Motherland of Pakistan is my Pakistan.”
He said that with the establishment of the country, the time for reconciliation has come to an end. “The constitution of the country must be strong,” he said.
The PML-N leader said that replacing Usman Bazdar with the old one would not be acceptable to the PML-N.
Latif asked the Establishment to guarantee that there would be no further interference in Pakistan’s politics.
He further said that although it took a long time for Punjab to wake up, it was a good thing that it finally came to know the role of ‘Establishment’ in politics.
The PML-N leader further said that his forefathers had given shelter to the people who migrated from India after partition. “But now I wonder if this is the same Pakistan that was created in 1947,” he said.
A Lahore court on Wednesday ordered the release on bail of PML-N leader Javed Latif in an anti-state speech case.
