New Delhi: The dates for all four sessions of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) (February, March, April and May 2021) were announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday. Each session will have four exam days and each day will have two shifts. Computer based competitive examination will be presented for the first time in 13 languages ​​from 2021 for admission to engineering and architecture courses.

JEE (Main) has been offered in English, Hindi and Gujarat since 2016, candidates can now opt to take the exam in 10 other languages ​​as well – Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu . Urdu

The NTA has opened registration from Wednesday and will continue until January 16, 2021 and may be willing to pay for all four seasons and pay for all sessions. If the candidate does not wish to attend the session for which the fee has already been paid, it will be returned by the NTA.

While the epidemic situation and the uncertainty of the board and other exam schedule prompted the agency to begin offering the test four times from 2021 itself, the move, according to the NTA, “gave candidates many opportunities to improve their scores in the exam.” Will give if they are not able to give their best in one attempt and the chances of skipping a year will be reduced and the dropper will not have to waste the whole year. ”Also if a candidate has a board exam in a particular month, or COVID If the candidate is unable to attend due to -19 or for reasons beyond control, the candidate may choose a different month to take JEE (Main) 2021.

While candidates can register for one or more sessions right now, the application window will be briefly reopened immediately after the results of the February, March and April sessions are announced.

The NTA will release the score at the end of each season. Students’ best NTA scores will be considered for final merit. The All India Merit List, taking the best of the students’ NTA scores, will be prepared at the end of the fourth season (May) and thereafter the NTA will release the All India Rank List of eligible candidates.

The NTA conducts JEE (Main) for admission to architecture and planning courses, along with undergraduate engineering programs at the National Institute of Engineering (NIT), the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) and other centrally funded technical institutes. Many other engineering colleges and universities also accept JEE (Main) scores of admissions in various states. The test is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) for admission.
