The chief adviser to America’s efforts on coronovirus vaccines said on Sunday that he planned to discuss the coronovirus vaccine this week with President-Elect Joe Biden as he was scheduled to roll out of the first Americans later this month have hope.
The chief advisor for Operation War Speed, Monsup Salai, said he has not yet met Biden, who has criticized the Trump administration’s vaccine delivery plan.
“We are really looking forward to it because things are actually very properly planned,” Saloi said in an interview with CBS’s “Interview the Nation”.
Biden said that on Friday his team had not seen a detailed plan by the Trump administration to distribute the vaccine to various states.
“There’s no detailed plan we’ve seen, anyway, such as how you get the vaccine from a container, into an injection syringe, into someone’s hand,” Biden said.
He stated that the delivery process for vaccines, which needed to be stored at very low temperatures, was difficult and expensive. “There is much more to be done.”
Saloi said that the confusion may be that the government’s plan is to depend on the state’s health agencies to deliver the vaccine.
“But there are videos, there are explanations on how to go about it. Slaoui said that we plan to keep all the accessories in syringes, needles, swabs.
“I think there are plans and I am confident that once we tell it, everything goes into detail. I hope the new transition team understands that things are well planned.”
