Joe Biden’s approval rating on Kovid-19, economy down: Survey

WASHINGTON: US President Joe Biden’s approval rating on how he has handled the COVID-19 pandemic and the economy, according to a new poll.
CNBC’s latest All-America Economic Survey, published Tuesday, showed that Biden had 48 percent of his job approvals as president, up one point from the first quarter, but his disapproval count rose from 41 percent to 45 percent.
The biggest change came in his handling of the coronavirus pandemic, where approval fell 9 points to 53 percent.
Biden’s economic acceptance fell by 4 points to 42 percent, according to the survey.
The president’s ratings have plummeted, along with worsening views on the economy and the virus.
The survey, conducted at the end of July, shows that 51 percent of the population is pessimistic about the economy and outlook, the highest level since 2015.
Only 22 per cent were optimistic about the economy.
