Karnataka School resumes: Class 10 and 12 again on 1 January; Class 9 and 11 on 15 January: Karnataka Technical Advisory Committee

Bengaluru: The Technical Advisory Committee for Kovid-19 in Karnataka recommends that classes for grades 10 and II PU may begin from January 1. After this, classes will be held from 11 to Grade 11 and from I PU to 15 January. Vidyagama in its new form – classes for classes 6- in small groups in the campus can also be held from 1 January.

The committee held a meeting on Thursday to discuss issues on the reopening of schools. The dates will be discussed with the Chief Minister and finalized after the standard operating procedures are implemented. Thursday’s meeting included education minister and department officials.

The committee has also recommended that the state should wait for some more time before making Vidyagama for primary classes. Sources reveal that the government will also wait for the High Court order on the same.

According to the recommendations, students should come to school with a consent form from parents. Later it should also be agreed that students do not have any symptoms like sore throat, cold or cough. Students who have any of these symptoms should not attend classes.
