The government announced on Monday night that it would not change the prices of petroleum products for the first 15 days of June 2021.
According to a statement issued by the Finance Division, Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to maintain the prices of petroleum products as they were on May 17, 2021.
The statement said, “The government has not increased the prices of petroleum products since April 16, 2021 by adjusting the sales tax and petroleum levy so that there is no associated increase in the prices of essential commodities. Get relief. “
Prices will be as follows from June 1, 2021.
Petrol Rs 108.56 per liter
High speed diesel at Rs 1110.76 per liter
Kerosene Rs 80.00 per liter
Light diesel Rs 77.65 per liter
On May 15, the government also decided to keep the prices of petroleum products unchanged for the rest of May.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib had said that “the price of petroleum products will remain the same till May 31.” Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided not to burden the people despite the increase in rates in the international market.
The minister had claimed that if the prices of petroleum products were not increased, the national exchequer would lose Rs 2.77 billion.
“The government has not only adjusted the petroleum levy but also reduced the sales tax on light diesel and kerosene.”
Therefore, the price of petrol is Rs 108.56 per liter, diesel Rs 1110.76 per liter, kerosene Rs 80 and light diesel oil Rs 77.65 per liter.
