Lockdown: Students who have gone to different states can appear for the pending board exams there.

NEW DELHI: Students of classes 10 and 12 who have moved to a different state or district during the Kovid-19-inspired lockout can appear for the pending board exams themselves, Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ Announced on Wednesday.

The minister said that these students would not be required to travel to the previous board examination center. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will announce the registration modalities for such requests, he said.

“Students of classes 10 and 12 who are required to appear for the pending board exams but have moved to different states or districts during the lockdown during school closure will only be able to take the exam at their current location. They will not need to travel. Nishank said, CBSE will issue a notification in this regard and the modalities for registration of such requests.

The examinations, which were postponed due to a nationwide lockdown imposed on 25 March to prevent the spread of Kovid-19, will now be held from 1 to 15 July.
