PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz on Friday accused the PTI of trying to rig the by-elections by stealing votes.

Maryam claimed that the seal of the ballot bag had also been broken and accused the police of being “part of a plot to steal votes for the PTI”.

He followed her by showing the bag in the video with the label of PP51 Gujranwala I.

Maryam also shared a video of a man sitting quietly with a bag of votes. PML-N workers can be heard asking them where they are carrying the bag of votes.

“We sent him with the Rangers and they were carrying the bags,” said one man.

As a result, the man in the video was identified as a presiding officer and accused of filling the bag with fake votes.

As her latest news broke, Maryam shared another video of the PML-N arresting the presiding officer, who allegedly belonged to the virtual university polling station Wazirabad. She claimed that she was “running away with a polling bag, the seal of which was broken”.

“He has been brought before the District Returning Officer,” he said.

After more videos, another man was caught by MPA Chatha, who was also charged with “vote theft”.

Maryam said that the PML-N representatives were keeping an eye on the boy who was “caught red handed” and “not letting him go”.

His message came a day after the vote, which turned violent, killing two people and injuring at least eight others.

Clashes broke out between PTI and PML-N workers in Daska constituency, with each accusing the other of inciting violence to influence voter turnout.

By-elections were held in four constituencies today: NA-45 Karam I, NA-75 Sialkot IV, PP-51 Gujranwala I and PK-63 Nowshera III.
